Emergancy First Aid at work

This Course has been designed to qualify you as an emergency first aider at work so you are able to respond to a range of situations as well as emergencies.

The duration of the course is 3 days of which 1 day must be delivered in a classroom environment.

Part of this course can be completed online.

At the end of this course, you will have the practical skills to become a confident first aider at work and the ability to deal with first aid emergencies.

Topics you will cover:

Access and prioritise a first aid incident.
Deal with an unconscious casualty
Carry out resuscitation (CPR)
Control bleeding and manage shock.
Deal with injuries to the bones, muscles, and joints
Deal with casualty suffering burns and scalds
Manage eye injuries.
Deal with casualties overcome by fumes of suffering from poisoning.
Deal with a broad range of common injuries and illnesses until arrival of medical care
Maintain first aid records.
Use and maintain first aid kits.
AED (Automated external defibrillator) (Use of an AED, chain of survival, Safety considerations)

Throughout the course the trainer will observe and give you written assessments.

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a First Aid at Work certification. The certification is valid for 3 years.
