SIA CCTV Operator

CCTV Operators work in a control room they monitor in crime reporting and watching images. This is a good course for a new entrant or for a door supervisor who wants to step up in their career.

The SIA CCTV Operator course will give you a good understanding and an insight into the role within the security industry as the job role requires viewing footage and images. At the end of this course, you will have knowledge of the legal aspects of CCTV monitoring and will also be given a practical lesson on usage of the equipment.

The course modules are as follows:

Module 1

Working in the private security industry

At the end of the course, you will sit through a multiple-choice question examination. You will be given 40 questions and will have 4 options to select the correct answer for each question.

Module 2

Working as a CCTV Operator

At the end of the course, you will sit through a multiple-choice question examination. You will be given 40 questions and will have 4 options to select the correct answer for each question.

Module 3

Practical use of CCTV Systems

At the end of the course, the trainer will assess and will observe as this section will require you to demonstrate basic usage of a CCTV kit learned throughout the course and all the assessments will be conducted within the course duration.

The trainer will fully equip you with the knowledge that is required to pass the examination.

Qualification Name: Level 2 Award for working as a CCTV Operator (Public Space Surveillance)

Requirement Age: 18 or above

Requirement for: SIA CCTV Licence

Suitable for: New entrant with no previous experience or experienced professionals with some experience

Duration of the course: 3 days
